I have been working up some drafts for a few diagrams and elevations for the mountain lodge project. I am testing out some graphically minimal styles that contrast the highly textured and atmospheric perspective illustrations seen here and here. I don’t normally reduce the graphics so much that I remove all of the shade and shadow from the images, but in this case, I think the figure-ground style works in conveying some of the important parts of the massing. There are still several big perspective images coming up for this project, but I wanted to get some of the informational images moving forward as well. More to come later…
Beautiful diagrams as usual; i’m excited to try out something like this!
What was your workflow for creating these diagrams? Was this all done using sketchup models? They’re beautiful.
